clean back, remove wall carefully

paint with slip liquid

paint a thin, even layer

paint sides of wall too

rebuild retaining wall at base

put blue pigment in water

add plaster (as before)

mix out lumps

a picking up and splashing motion

blow into holes and crevasses

all air bubbles are broken

add layers of plaster

front side of the plaster wall should always be kept smooth and clean.

cut burlap strips

let plaster slake in water

mix plaster

folded strip around perameter

lateral pieces top to bottom

central rib

tuck in at the bottom

do each side separately

always see the blue line
