1. Overview: In this session you become familiar with the various features of the e-mail program used at OISE/UT called OISENet. You will need an active account to do the activities in this workshop. You will be given an OISENet guide in this workshop rather than activity handouts.



2. Learning Outcomes

At the end of this workshop you will:
1. Know how to send and receive e-mail
2. Know how to create folders for storing e-mail messages
3. Be able to attach files to e-mail messages
4. Understand how to summarize and save messages outside of your e-mail account
5. Know how to access the various conferences available on OISENet
6. Understand how to modify the various preferences regarding your e-mail
7. Become familiar with the Chat function in First Class
8. Know how the homepage folder in FC works for saving .html and graphic files
9. Be able to install the FC client program on your computer.
10. Know how to access email from your account through a Web browser.

2. Copy and paste from an big, long OISENet message in Electronic Cafe (in Conferences on your Desktop) to Word Document 1
3. Save, naming it My First.doc
4. Backup to A: (floppy diskette) and bring to class
