Selia's Favourite TV Shows 2008

Welcome to my TV viewing site.  I'm putting links here to the shows I want to watch.  I usually end up taping what's on TV then I end up having more tapes than time. This year these are the ones I plan to keep up with.

The Amazing Race: this show pits a variety of teams against each other as they chase around the globe looking for clues and facing challenges of all sorts.

The Apprentice with Donald Trump: the current version is Celebrity Apprentice.

Top Model: Tyra Banks leads the model hopefuls through their paces and the competition can be fierce. It's a high-pitched drama of glamour and fame and only one woman makes it to the finish line.

Survivor: I love the way relationships are tested and strategies are planned as real people strive to win the big prize under extremely difficult conditions - I sure wouldn't like living like that!

Along the same lines, I have watched every season of Big Brother on TV - it's another psychological thriller and I can sneak a peek at life in the house 24.7 on my computer as well. With the current writers' strike, there's soon to be a winter version as well.

After 12 seasons my all time favourite NYPDBlue retired, I have transferred my love of police procedurals to the following series.
Here are my current picks:
CSI - CSI Miami - CSI NY and Numbers, Criminal Mindsthe Closer, and Shark. On Friday nights I go for HGTV's Getaway Fridays.

I enjoy Fashion File and a look at actor's lives on Inside Actor's Studio. When they come around, I watch Miss Universe and Miss America and yes, since 2007, American Idol - to see if I can guess who will win.

Not least, I'm a fan of figure skating. This season, CBC is covering the most inportant skating competitions.

Want to e-mail me about any of these shows - I'm waiting to hear from you.
